Here is the thread on RCGroups......http://www.rcgroups.com/forums/showthread.php?t=1207542

Looks nice and all but why would ProBoat come out with yet another brushless mono hull? I mean they already have the Formula Fastech you know?

I'm going to have to pay more attention to the overseas Horizon stuff...

It looks an aweful lot like a Fastech, with a BJ steerable outdrive on it and a different deck layout...

Yea Darin I love that new hatch I will be praying for this to hit the U.S.

It does seem to look a lot like a titan 29 now with a deeper vee

I talked to ProBoat this morning... it's basically the power system from the Widowmaker 22, in a Shockwave 26 hull. So it's a 2S boat... I think this hull used to have a brushed system? Don't really know. Never paid that much attention to it.

I'll let you know if I find out they plan on releasing this in the US anytime soon.

Darin can either the widowmaker or this run on 3s? It seems like the low kv would make it work pending the esc could handle the added power.

I don't know the specs on the ESC... I imagine it might be able to handle more, but you'd have to look... Generally, if it'll handle the added Voltage, it'll work, because the ampdraw would actually be lowered with the increaded V...

Chances are, the existing setup could handle WAY more prop than they provide on it... but again, you'll have to play with it.... Remember, these are Production RTR boats... they are designed to survive those who aren't necessarily going to pay enough attention to the details, so they are detuned considerably to what they may ultimately be capable of, if you are willing to push them...

I agree... not bad... The idea was to bring a lower cost sport boat to the market, that was cheaper to get started with, since it only requires a single battery to run.

The 2.4Ghz is a nice option too... and the ESC has reverse as well.

Not sure what kind of raceboat it would be, as I haven't had a good look at the bottom, but it appears to have a semi-sub-surface type drive, similiar to the FASTeK. Will likely run pretty light on the water, as it has a decent sized ride-pad, from what I can tell. Should be fun in a straight line.
