    Scuffing the hull

I've heard that if you scuff the bottom of the hull with scotch brite. It is supposed make the hull more slippery in the water . Does this really work ?. If true how much of the hull do you scuff ?.

    rchippie,

    IT does work,

I have 3 SV27 2 of them run the same setup , the 1 that has the scuffed bottom is about 2mph faster then the 1 that has a shinny gel cot surface.
You only need to scuff the area that the boat runs on at full throttle.
