      I've used both, PEEK is much tougher and longer lasting, PTFE deform easily but are more slippery when water-lubricated, if your buying them as washers I would go for PEEK, if your buying a length of rod and making washers on a lathe I would use PTFE.

        Thank you for replies, a friend of mine sent me those washers from Germany for testing the PEEK material. He told me that PEEK is very good and I' ve read it' s very expensive material

            I use a piece of standard water cooling tubing or fuel tubing in place of a washer......it squishes down where a washer wont

            I cut the tubing about a 3/16 to 1/4" long and slide it on in back of the dd
