What specific equipment are you guys using for a low voltage cuttoff device?

I ordered mine from AllBattery direct. It's the Dimension Engineering lipo shield. Up to 5 or 6 cells auto detecting & runs inline with the rx. 19.99. I've used it 4 or 5 times. No problems. :)

The alarm is nice but the unit will cut the power and start pulsing power or reduce the current so you can bring her home.

            Re :

Good thread ; I need to learn more about this [ lipos installed/charged, will run
1st time next Sun]. I programed the 'Cudas to 14 volts LVC [ 4S paks ; 4 X 3.5 =14]. Was advised by some lipo-savvy guys to do this BUT I'm open to other input.
With this new $$$ investment I can't afford to screw anything up !

That is where I tested my unit. I used it with the stock SV power system & the poly rc 7.4 s2 3600mah 12-16c I bought from Mr Hill. So I was running an s4 setup @ 14.8 volts on a 45 mm prop. I was pulling 38 amps spiking to 60 in the turns. The packs where around 110 to 115 motor and esc temps where well below danger levels. 100 & 98 if memory serves..
