    HPR06 motors ?

I can only imagine the grief I may get on this, but having been unemployed for close to a year now... Im VERY limited on options, and its killing me not having this boat in the water yet.

So, Ive got 2 Etti 150 2-7S ESCs...

On HPR06 fansite, there is a setup using the 540 8Xl Feigao on 5S. Im thinking I may do this until I can afford to power it differently.. or if I need to power it differently. On that site it states its getting a lilltle over 100 kph.. so roughly mid 60s. I know Fecalc isnt perfect.. its only an idea.. and it having no "twins" set up.. but, running it thru on the calc, 5S, 8XL, 440/3, it roughly pulls 137 amps.

My question is, would I be better off with a 9XL on 6S... FEcalc shows a few more mph at 136 amps (1 less amp). How risky is it for a couple mph to put the voltage that much closer to max on the Etti. I do not have the extra caps installed. Would that be a good idea no matter what I run?

Again, I know Neu, Lehner.. etc etc is the way to go, but I have to work off what I have and what I can get much less expensively until I can find work.

10xl on 6s will be a lot cooler setup, and still fly!

1 vote for a 10XL. And I see your point.. much less amps.

And the Etti will be ok on 6s. What about the additional cap bank?

I also see the Feigao's max voltage is 6S... is that too much pushing the limits of the motor?

I wont be racing it, just sport boating in my pond, but Id like it to "fly" I was thinking mid 50s would be great (for now) But 60s is much better.

I ran a 10xl in a rigger on 6s with the etti 150 like you have and had no issues at all. Definately install cap banks. If you have a basic electronics knowledge you can build one.

the max voltage is all relative to the motor kva 7xl will most definately be 4s max where as a higher turn motor can more efficiently run higher voltage with less amp draw.

That would be great! Octura 442 counter rotating.

For some reason I thought you could get the 440/3 in a right hand rotation... nope.. I was wrong. I was hoping to run cr 3 blades, even if it doesnt help the performance, they just look mean Guess I got to start shoppin!

Thanks again, Im lookin forward to the results

Try the Castle-Neu 1518, IMO it's a better motor for a bit less, or Medusa 3680 if you can still find a pair, unbeatable performance to price ratio. Also their are Neu-alike motors from China, I have two of those and am going to try in my HPR06 when the lake melts up if I can finish the build in time.

With the Feigaos make your max about 90 amp peaks. After about 80 amps a lot of any imp[ut is simply being turned into heat

A properly setup 43" twin cat will run over 65mph+ with 5 cells per side, 10xl's and 47mm blades.

                              With good motors think 75-80mph
