    Twin Cracker?

Any thoughts on a twin motor crackerbox? After building a twin cat, It seems like I want to somehow put twins in anything lol.

I was thinking about building one for fun just to see what would happen with a twin powered semi flat bottom boat with counter rotating props. I was thinking a 1/8 scale and some kind of 540- 540l motor.

If I put wings on it would it fly? lol

    Interesting

Well, you could look at a couple of the mystery outrunners that are 300kv. 28 or 26 mm in diameter. Look on ebay for $40 you could get both with 30amp esc!

Now, would you look sub surface drive or running a flex cable with stingers? with stingers, you would probably have some luck. sub surface and I think the hull/drive just has limitations.

    Why not 1/10?

Only because i have 1/8 plans already from my last cracker build. On my last build I ran a strudder, I was thinking of the same thing, but stingers may be the better way to go. I think 380 motors may be too small though. Well we may see this boat in the future then, I just want to get some imput on thoughts about it, I don't want to build it if everyone thinks it would be rediculous and would work.

            Ridiculous

it would be ridiculous!! That is the point.

I plan on pushing a 1/10 scale boat on 2c or 3c with a 28mm outrunner but 1700kv. I think if you run two, you could do the 3000kv and make it work. Small props, stingers, 3 cells!

Am I remembering correctly, you are in the military?

              yeah I'm in the Army.

I'll have to post a link to my other cracker build so you can see the size of the 540 motor in it, all my boats are back in california at my dads waiting for paint. My cracker suffered some paint damage from too thin skin and too rough of water, paint cracked off in a spot, so dads getting around to it. I may have hit something tho, not sure. It was running a traxxas venillian 540 motor and a 4000mah 3 cell lipo and a x430 prop, it was quick, but water was too rough for a good run. I think counter rotating props would make it more stable, and ridiculous lol. Too much is just right lol.

Here is a link to my last cracker build, I was in a hurry to build it so its not perfect, but after dads paint job its hard to tell its not perfect. I was hard headed and should have listened to Jeepers about using a straight shaft on it. I didn't really build it to be a true cracker, I only ran it like once since I did the upgrade to the driveline, then I cracked the bottom paint off. It was nice to have a adjustible strut on it though. I think for a twin cracker I may want adjustable struts as well. I think I'm going to have to build me a true scale cracker though.

Looks like in the video it was pretty stable. Or maybe it wasnt going fast enough to be crazy like most crackers.

Yeah it was pretty quick, prob faster then traditional cracker setups.
