I just bought some HK ones. Havent got them yet so I dont know about the quality. But they are cheap. I know that doesnt answer your question about the best, But they show great reviews and i assume are the "best" for the "pricerange".
The ones from Castle work great. Not sure of their source but I dont think they are the cheap chi ones. I am sticking with the 5.5mm bullets from NEU for now in most of my setups. They have more surface area then the 6mm bullets I have tried which tells me that equates to more contact area. Either way dont buy the cheap chi ones of either size unless you are going to use them in your charging setups. The plating comes off after moderate use.
Anyone have pictures of the German ones?
I just got some samples from a German wire supplier and they are the same as what I'm currently carrying but twice the cost.

Bought 5 packs of Castle 5.5 and 3 three of the female were machined to small to accept a male plug and one male was hollow.
I contacted them and they sent a pack for free no questions asked so there service was great but the plugs i'm pretty sure are Chinese also.
There is a big difference between the German plugs and the Chinese plugs. Not only are the tolerences relatively poor with the Chinese plugs, but there is less metal in the male plug leaves, making it far easier to bend a leaf and have a much smaller area of contact. Less metal also means higher resistance, but I doubt that is a major issue - poor contact is the killer. The male plugs in Alain's post have very thin leaves compared to some older Lehner 6mm plugs I have.
A recent problem is that now some of the German plugs are also made in China, with the same shortcomings! AFAIK it's a pig in a poke, with a higher probablility - but no certainty - that German-sold plugs are better.

Even Castles are made in China. If you keep the same set up for motor and ESC then just hard solder them together and forget it...that is the best anyway...unless you solder really crappy.
