I would try the lipos first with 442 props. Move to BL when you can. Those are big cells and you really do not need that large. I would run a couple of 4000/5000 packs in the 30C range...smaller and lighter and you are not loading them much anyway.

Your stock hardware is the limit on power.

thank you eboat and btw jeff i would have to get two esc's because its dual motors and dual batteries i wish someone made a single motor conversion for villian maybe ill just seal up the hull and go with one stuff tube cure all my problems with room and adjustability

I would go with single motor direct drive. Its not too hard to seal up the hull, just get some abs and epoxy. Doesnt need to be perfect, just cut to fit and epoxy in.

You can upgrade the power system while using the remaining hardware, one suggestion is Boca Bearings yellow seal bearings in the outdrive i believe that one takes 5x11. The yellow seal literally never go gritty on you.i've run a set for 3 seasons with zero failure.

i seen a write up that traxxas actually did on running bearings im gonna do that they say to use an 11/32 brass tube and 4x8mm flanged bearings but it said to use stainless steel bearings that noone in the world makes but if bill says the boca bearings yellow seal is water friendly ill go with that thanks guys !!!
