    5mm rotor shaft replacement

    i have a hacker c-50 motor with a broken rotor shaft does anyone know where i can find 5mm steel solid rod to replace the shaft with

      That is not a simple do it yourself repair, it needs to be replaced by Hacker. I sent in a B50 earlier in the year and the new rotor was around $120. Remember that the magnets are on that shaft and cannot be removed simply.

        i easily removed the magnet, it was just pressed on, and for a $120 i'd rather fix it my self, which i think can be done with right parts, maybe i'll find a someone to turn down a piece of steel at a shop.

            Some of the electric helos use a 5mm shaft for the main rotor, check your lsh for replacement parts.

              Suit yourself. Removed/installed incorrectly, the magnets can and will crack or come loose from their mountings. If the magnets come apart at 40,000 rpm your entire motor is ruined in a millisecond. Been there - done that!
