The 7l size keeps popping up, what are you guys running for batts, generally speaking?

For a lower-cost setup, I'd go for the 6L Nemesis and Hydra 120....

I've run both the Neu 1515 1D (4100KV) and 1515 0.5Y (about 4500KV) in my Banzai HydroSport 28 experimental..., both with good results... Same combo SCREAMS in an N2-Mono as well... all on 2S2P and a B125 ESC...

Also, if your boat is lighter, the Neu 1509 1.5D (4500KV) works GREAT... just doesn't have the torque of the 1515 motors...

Im looking at two of the 2500 2s 25c packs, would 5000 mah be enough safety factor?

How long are your races? You might be pushing it if you're running a full mill and 1 mile. Darin can tell you for sure.

methinks you would be pushing your luck if you had to run a mile. I'm using about 550mah per lap(1/8th mile) with my n2 mono(6l).

we will probably run 1 mile plus mill, on the 1/8th mile course, we did that at the races yesterday with the other classes.

Thanks Rex, Mah used is really what I was looking for.

Now Im more confused however. Guys over here are typically using 3000-3300 mah for a mile (1/8 course) in p-mono 12 cells (8XL) power. Does N2 generally use more mah?

they are running at twice the voltage sooo, figure double their mah usage. watts used will be the same. prop size, strut setting, and how the boat runs('dry/wet') all affect the amps used(not to mention type of boat), your boat may not pull as many amps as mine...but its a good idea to start conservatively with your testing. also note I'm getting my figures from what the charger is putting back, actual mah use should be somewhat lower.

Allright. I ordered two 3700 25c 7.4 flight power packs with two balancers. The reason for going with this brand is to use up my store credit from the lsh who mainly deals with tower. After talking with flightpower my understanding is, I can use a y harness to charge both packs together at 2C and that the balancer will shut off each pack accordingly. Not sure how it does this when they are being charged through the output leads, also not sure what happens when one pack shuts off and now the other is getting 2c instead of 1c. but here we go!
