    What do you guys pay per foot or yard for Heavy shrink wrap?

    Its expensive here and the shrink factor is poor, needs allot of heat.

          What size do you need Ray? Anything specific? I have a good size roll of polyolefin like 4" wide but for most speedos we need sizes more like 2 1/2 to 3 inches. Heres a good deal if you need 50ft!

            Its OK John I get my shrink wrap for free. Great friend of mine owns an electrical supply warehouse.

            Ray let me know what you need and I'll send some your way. What size do you need before and after. Or give me an ESC model that you need to cover and I can get it if I don't already have some.

                If anyone needs some 1 1/2 inch, I have some that I paid 9 bucks for 2 feet and only used 2 1/2 inches for my himodel 200 amp with the stock cooling fins removed and an OSE cooling plate added. It was a tight fit using needle nose pliers to get it on but it worked. I got it from a hot rod store and I asked him what they used it for and he said battery connections. Inch and a half makes 10 gauge seem weak. P.S. free shipping and and no charge for material. PM me if needed

                    Those numbers don't jive for FETs.

                    There should be some number similar to 8894 after or below FDD.

                    FDD is the beginning of a fet part number

                        I've just looked at one of mine. & it has the FDD 8894 numbers on the FETs.
                        It just arrived this week & I had to take the cooling plate off anyway to put the watercooled plate on.
                        They also have those numbers that tth posted.
                        Cheers.

                          The top nubers are just lot numbers as far as i know. The bottom ones are the part number an when searched always come up with the fairchild 30Volt fets.

                          Push to 8S if you like but, its only a matter of time before poof, I've burnt them on 4S.

                          I'm not saying they are crap but, you need to do 1. Water cool and proof it, 2. Add extra caps and 3. USE A 33 OHM 2 Watt resistor to charge caps prior to connecting batteries completely. No spark and your caps will last.

                          Still working on my 4 layer hybrid, wish me luck...

                              3 Toasted 200 amp ESC's

                              The following is from autopsy of 3 toasted 200 amp HiModel ESC's

                              1) 8770 (25V fets) caps were discarded
                              2) 8896 (30V fets) 5 Rubycon Black 35v 470uf
                              3) 8896 (30V fets) 5 Unknown Brown 35v 220uf

                              I do not know if these were 6S, 7S, or 8S rated ESC's.

                              First 2 of the 4 digits on the fets seem to mean:
                              87 = 25 volts
                              88 = 30 volts
                              56 = 60 volts (I think)

                              From my experience:

                              Epoxy DOES NOT reliably waterproof an ESC - eventually water will seep in along the flexible silicon leads.

                              I have had good luck so far with Permatex Sensor-Safe Blue Silicone Gasket Maker which costs under $4 at Wal-Mart for 3 ounces. This stuff really is strong and adheres very well to plastic, wood and silicone insulation. Just try a gob over some silicon wire to wood or plexiglass; you likely will not be able to pull it apart!
