Reddy, this is a very good find. It makes sense now that Novak is likely finding that r/c cars in high performance mode are experiencing high ripple current and transients. What doesn't make sense is that marine SC's, which always traditionally see these peaks don't already have these features, particularly transient suppressors, built in. Are you listening, marine SC makers ?

If enough of us try to 'educate' the ESC makers, maybe they will listen. I don't think any of them fully understand the stress an ESC is subjected to in use!

Very interesting, but wouldn't the use of additional capacitors across the battery input leads to the ESC (like many of us do) be considered 'decoupling capacitors' also?
Could it be that the use of these smaller 'decoupling capacitors' for RFI reduction in the Novak be needed due to the close proximity of the rx in rc cars? (brushed motors)
I hope someone buys one of these and lets us know the components and values used.
