P.S. I still would like to hear from those that have some of these boats what batteries do work with the stock esc without problems. So come on guys tell me what the highest C rating batteries you have used in one of those velocity cats from MCR?...................WITHOUT FRYING THE ESC!
The system works similar to an internal comustion engine. One huge misconception is that a battery FORCES amps into a system quite the contrary. The motor demands the power coming from the cells, so if your setup is right, higher c-rated cells won't give you more heat they can actually give you less.

I know higher would be better but this is all they have in stock right now and due to the low price i could get 2 and use them for now.

You will be JUST fine sir, I have a few buddies that opt for the Turnigy cells and they have a blast. What you have there are about a 7 out on a scale of 1-10 which will serve you well for many runs.

Only a serious racer needs to utilize 40-50c cells.

Hi I have a JETTI NAVY 50 amp esc. and I will keep it for you. You will probably need it sometime next week as the one in your boat is weak. The Jetti will handle all your set up can throw at it. They are $139 new, the same as your new boat. Go figure. BG

How about $55 shipped to you. Very good condition, little use ,in original bag with instruction sheet. It has deans on power end the motor end has the right size ullets so it will be plug and play. You can use a proboat program card to change the settings. Bg

Also guys I have a spare prop laying here from an apache it looks to be the same pitch but a slightly larger diameter proboat lists it as 1.34" x 2.06" Would it be ok to run it on this boat Here is a pic of it with the apache prop.................
