    34" super cat rudder Q

    i have a h&m supercat and recieved the hardware the rudder is very long 5.75" putting about 3.75" in the water also the rudder blade is 1.25 wide not tapered does this sound good to anybody, the rudder can be cut if need be

    also the strut is about 3/16 above the sponson i can go up just not down would this be a good starting point

    The rudder sounds good to me, as for the strut...

Virtually all props develop some lift and will help keep the transom up - by raising the prop you allow the transom to settle and the bow comes up - sometimes.     Running on the last few inches of the sponsons is fastest on most cats. The less hull in the water the faster the boat and the lower the amp draw, but the more unstable the cat is in wind or waves.
