On occasion, I’ve walked outside to check the weather, & decided that it’s a good day to head to the lake to do some boat set-up testing. So, I pack everything into the car, drive down to the lake (14 miles through the center of town), only to find the water to be too rough to do proper testing. Oops, the wind’s blowing much stronger here at the lake than I’d observed at home, & I depart without ever getting DaBoat wet !!!
Well, here’s something I’ve started doing to help alleviate that scenario. I go online to Weather Underground & check the wind speeds at a Personal (Home) Weather Station close to the lake. I can check out the Rapid Fire results for that location to decide if it’s worth the effort to head on down to do some testing.
Might not be the perfect solution, but it’s better than nothin’ - - Lots O Luck !!!
