thats pretty funny. Do you guys remember the battery bars with the little fins on them, that they said helped reduce heat? LOL

By the way nimh isnt dead just yet. I still use them on all my kids items with good results. But daddy gets the good stuff(lipo)!

yeah that is kinda funny. it will suffer from the same problems cooling a can motor with tubing dies. poor heat conductivity. BUT some type of think heat exchanger in between lipo cells is not all that bad of an idea.

Yep, another thing that's bound to happen - water cooled boat batteries with etti type plates between cells. Get in on it now, while it's just a concept! You heard it here first, folks!

Talk about some setup work just to get ready to run.

Plug in batteries, check radio system. Plumb cooling lines for batteries. check for leaks. tape hatch. Enjoy....

Can't imagine doing that on these big boats running 4 5s packs....

Maybe I will have to invest in one of those in my 54" cat with a 5xl running 78mph on a single 6cell NIMH batt. Man that sure does get hot.

On a serious note isnt there a water cooling system for lipos somewhere, i cant remember what forum i saw it on. It looks like the boat in the picture on ebay is a villian. I remember my batts got really hott when ran in my old IV with the MSC so im sure someone did it to theirs and thought he could find some gullible dudes.

Aw come on, it comes with "(4) Black Zip Ties" - those are FREE!

I have a hard time seeing where you would get good contact with the battery's surface area with that set-up.

No way, they would burn my house down. My oldest, Anthony is very book smart, but no common sense. For example, He brings he truck out to use it yesterday and comes back 2 minutes later saying its broke. I said what wrong, he says it just died. I asked when was the last time he charged the pack, he said he didn't.
