    cf transom Q

    I need to make a new transom for an N2 size hydro. what I have on hand is some 0.044" thick cf plate. question, how thick should I make it?

      well the previous owner had planned to make it legal for N2 sport hydro, so he used a band saw to cut the transome off (about an inch shorter)... so in effect its a completely new transom that I'm making :)
      Still waiting for my boat to come in.it came in

        I would just use some Ultra lite Ply about 1/4 and glass it in.

          Rex R,

          I used 1mm thick carbon fiber sheet to make a pod on the back of my Maritimo hull .
          Then I glass it to the transom and it has held up very well.
          Over all thickness of the pod when finished was about 2mm.
          Here's a few pictures to show you.
