Material has been ordered. We are going to use 90 degree water fittings for these. I hope to have some in 3-4 weeks.

What was you decision on the finned or smooth case?

These will be made to fit smooth cans.

Id rather see some water cooled versions/ideas of affordable brushless chinese ESC's than this..
Nues have been priced out of our club next year,I personally refuse to buy one along with a 240,If you feel you need to throw $500+ for a motor/esc combo to be competitive, you can go run with the other "Minority" 60mph yoyos and post vids running by yourself!! Id rather run 45mph bumper to bumper racing with 8 or more other racers that can afford to run the class.

I like the SAW races. I would rather spend a little more and have quality than spend less and have to replace it a week or 2 later. I used the cheap brushless motors on my rc cars and no kidding I was replacing them every other race. Same with the first few motors I bought for my boats they where cheap motors and cheap quality. As with almost all Chinese stuff. Then I bought a boat with a Lehner, and its still going as well as all of my Neus. I really put one through hell last weekend and it still runs like a champ. It was even a used motor to start with. I will never buy a cheap motor again.

Darn Skippy Dooz. I thought Steven was going to start selling these motors and maybe he will. He seems to do a better job explaining things to us than others and he could start all of us sport guys in the right direction without resentment of "I just ordered a 300. motor but dont know if it will work".

Lets just remember that this post is about a new product Steven is trying to provide for those of us who need them and that is all.

If we need to discuss were the hobby is going or how much stuff costs etc, lets do it on another post.

If you are in saws I completly understand!! absolutely go with the best you can afford. But its time to be realistic. Saw guys are a miniscule portion of the total FE racers, namba and impba are both down like 30% this year.
People either cannot or will not, spend the money on these power packages for oval racing.

"I personally refuse to buy one along with a 240"
Who said you have to run them off a 240?
I run my 1509 1.5D off a 120. In a sport set up in the El Lobo. With no problems at all. And I have less than $400 in the motor and esc.
"If you feel you need to throw $500+ for a motor/esc combo"
I wouldn't even think about putting a Chinese motor in an HPR.

Why did you even post this here???

EDIT: I typed this earlier. But forgot to summit it, and was busy with something else. After I submitted it I read the last 2 posts. Lets get back on topic.

I disagree that there is a minority of guys running nue motors.
There is a huge demand for neu 15 size motor jackets.

Asian ESC's are tough. I want to sell them. But I also don't want to tell people
to screw when they blow up. And the will. Right now Castle will warranty their USA made product. Right now there are plenty of esc's that can be bought by USA consumers directly from Asia. When they blow they are much harder to ship back and the companies will give some story on why it was user error.

I forgot who on the board said it. But I was thinking of selling a warranty with a asian esc. Almost like an insurance policy. For example, say $50 without a warranty but $70 with a 6 month warranty. Not sure if that would work.

Steven which controller are you thinking about selling with no warranty for $50.00?
