Can't argue with that. Venom has totally dropped the ball on EKOS cust. serv.

I don't know about the rest of the products?

Again they get a "A" in the looks and detail of their hulls...

We will have to see if they have learned anything about what to put on the inside however. Let's hope so...

My EKOS is now out of the storage box and sporting new motors and esc's. Just need some decent weather...

On the Venom site under specifications for the Miss Excite is describes the motor as being a V500 Marine Brushless motor (same as the V hull).

However in the picture and description it describes the motor as being the V380 2850kv motor, which is the same as what they put in the EKOS. That would not be a good choice in my opinion.

We'll have to see if this was a good choice or just an intermediate one. I wanted to stay with the 3s batteries I bought initially, so I stayed with the 28mm motor. I selected the ARC 28-58-1. It is reported to run at 1000+ watts so I upgraded the esc's to the Seaking 120's.

I'll post the results after I hit the water... if it ever stops raining...

I want to try the arc 28-47-1.5 2800kv motors but havent purchased them yet because Im not sure if the water jackets I bought from ose will fit. What water jackets are you using. I have the ones for sale on ose for the feigao 380 motors and am using them with ammo 2700kv motors.

I used the ones for the Feigao 380, but let me say that the .4mm difference is HUGE. It was a &^%#@#*&^***t$&*^$%! to get on. In fact I ruined one of the "O" rings doing it. My idea to try them was somewhat based on you getting them on the Ammo motors, as they are described as being 28mm also.

I would not recommend using these water jackets on the ARC 28mm motors. The fit is just way too tight.

do you think it will be under powered?
I would like to get the little Hydro and use a UL-1 motor and esc on 4s!

Sweet looking little hull and I would like to see that setup, but what are you going to do with the innards?

As far as the 380 goes, I really don't know if it is underpowered in that hull, but two of them using the designed 3s could only muster 34mph in the EKOS. Of course I only had one run to base that on...

Even being a hydro guy, I like the mono. I am interested to see how that outrunner does, but I'm not going to be one of the first this time...

Get the hydro, give her a run and let us know...

I have to say that I rather push a Hydro then own a mono... but man... this is a nice looking mono!!! If this is NAMBA "compatible" I'd give it a spin... any one of you mono guys out there know if this hull is NAMBA legal?

With the rep of the EKOS in my mind i would think this mono would be able to run up to maybe 6s on that outrunner!

I dought 6s, you cannot run the ekos on 4s for very long..
but I really would like to know the kv of that outrunner..
If it's 1200 to 1500kv that would get my attention
