    What AMP esc to use?

I am not sure what size esc to get. It is for a 16" hydro. I have a Turnigy 3600 kv that says it needs a 40amp esc. I was looking at a 35amp Turnigy and a 60amp Turnigy. I guess the safe thing to do would to get the 60amp right?

      my setup

I have a 16.5" delta force mini hydro with that motor in it. I run 2s lipo - 2200.

Props range from x431 plastic to the y534. I pull low 20's to mid 20's on amperage based on run time to when the batteries drop.

For speed control, I run the hobby king SS 25/30 amp which cost me $8.45 + sh, I also water cooled and proofed it with epoxy.

The motor and controller are both cool after running. fun boat and setup!

here is a thread on it:

Check out Swang Hobby too, they have deals on esc with the programming card. The best deal is that they offer free shipping. I got mine in a week from Hong Kong. And I believe they now have a warehouse in the States. http://www.swanghobby.com/electric-s...ler-c-282.html .

I have the Hobbywing version of that motor in my 24" rigger (my avatar) with a 3s 2500ma lipo and a 34mm prop. A 35A Seaking esc is working well so far, but I haven't propped up yet. A 60 would be safer and just a little heavier (was my first choice but it went into a different project). All ran cool after about 5 minutes.

I just got their 90A esc with the prog box, ran it in my little NDQ jet boat while I build up my 25" shovel. Then it's going in my shovel. Ran it on 3S. BTW, everything was cold to the touch!! Seems like a really good product.
