Foki conversion - jet or eco?

I bought this Fokki SX Evolution hull off ebay a while back (thx, chuckecheeze) to refit with original type extended bracket rudder and stinger. But after viewing several videos, I see turning is not one of its better qualities. Maybe it's the one strake on one side thingy. So now I'm thinking of converting it to either jet drive or eco - type submerged drive. Thoughts?

for a good jet drive setup dont you want a flat spot on the end of the hull to make it easier to fit the intake?

I think an Eco-type sub drive is the way to go on this type of hull. Me thinks the one strake is for a short course setup, kinda like in the video's of the eco boats racing, diamond or triangular course setup.

Yes, I agree the eco is the way to go with this hull. I found this http://www.astecmodels.co.uk/catalog...roducts_id=561 rudder/wire drive set that looks to be about right for this hull length. But I'm having a time trying to find info on drive placement - or any info on setting up eco hulls. I have a feeling rudder and strut placement might be critical in this class.

Definitely offset, would be my guess. Just tried looking up to see if I could find pics of hull showing the rudder and strut. Hopefully someone with an Eco can chime in!

Nah, just sell it to me! I've seen vids of these lil guys flying! Maybe it was set up incorrectly before. It should have turned excellent!

It's easy to make a spot for a jet drive in most any V-hull that has a vertical (90 degree)
                transom (which this Foki has).
