Steven, I'm a "Gold" member (whatever that means).

            200 amp = $ 179.95

            180 amp = $ 79.95

            Interesting specs :

            200 amp model : 200 amp continuous ; 230 amp burst

            180 amp model : 180 amp continuous ; 360 amp burst

According to a statistic that I just made up, 83% of all statistics are to be taken with a grain of salt.

            I'm using (my second) 180 amp unit and like it a lot - 31" Shovel, Neu1515 1Y

Even the 120s have different burst specs.

The marine v2 has a burst of 240 and the new aquastar has a burst of 150. The new ones have four caps instead of two and is a little bigger.

You do have to keep in mind, that 200a controller, even tho it is labeled turnigy, like the 180a controller, is not a Hobbywing product. Its just Hobbycity.com's "turnigy" label. That should explain the burst current differences, as the controllers are truly different brands. What we need to do, is find out the original manufacturers name of this 200a controller. I may need one for my 1/8 scale hydro build soon! Mike

also, the aquastar, is not a hobbywing controller. Its not a v2 in a different label, its just a different brand all together..again, with a neat "Turnigy" label!

The 180 I got from Jim came in a nice foam-lined box, was labeled Seaking on the controller, and had Hobbywing decals in the box. The next one I got from Hobby City came in a plain white box and was labeled Turnigy on the controller, and no decals in the box. They appear identical.
I'm not sure what this means, although I like the unit.

Its amazing dealing with overseas. Everyone that contacts me is a manufacturer. But in truth they are just middle men for manufacturers that dont want to deal with the smaller companies out there like OSE.

Reason for the post is that LittleScreamers is sending me a test motor that he say worked very well with this esc. And doesn't work well with anything else I carry. Now its time to figure out who really makes this control.

I have a neighbor-friend who has an electronics-related manufacturing plant in China. I'll see if he could dig into this.

I noticed that too, I am giving them the benefit of a doubt when it comes to updating the website... a lot of people don't update their site properly.
