the hydro has been around for a few years,there is a larger version as well.
the mono i think is a copy of the tenshock velocity mono

We tested that radio to sell with our boats. RUN as fast as you can away from that radio. It is totally unreliable. I can't believe anyone is selling them. We were disappointed because they only cost $17 for the tx and rx!

Yep. However, Tenshock does not make our Velocity boats. Different manufacturer altogether, BUT it's a copy alright. Can't seem to stop it.

Oh, it's the first time I've seen these. That hydro is sweet. And for a good price too.

Looks like they might have fixed whatever problem they had with the radio. They appear to work well in the video. Anybody own one of these?

Over at rcu there are several who love this radio, and say its works great, and for the cheap price they say it cannot be beat!

I can get these little buggers cheap, but I need to check and see how much I can get the radio for..
decent price for the combos though, specialy for first timers looking for a mini brushless water rocket!

These Hydros are manufactured by Joysway http://www.joysway-hobby.com/ . They got some other boats as well. My LHS got some Sea Drifters in stock and they sell like hot-cakes here in South Africa to the uninformed masses...

Uninformed masses? What should they know about? Is there a problem with the boats?

the hulls are not to bad on the sea drifter,from memory they are a fibreglass reinforced plastic,hardware is also okay,the flex shaft to prop shaft hasnt been done rite on them and needs attention.
here is some video of one running 6s. its just a test run, no turn fin, in needed a air dam at the front to stay on the water. boat does get past about half throttle in video.
