Lipo question

Ok so this may not make sense but hopefully I can get my question across.....

When I run my Supervee or my TC 31 I use a pair of lipo's that are 2s2p in series, does that mean the boat is running on a 4 cell Lipo?

Reason I ask is I am looking at more powerful batteries and want to stay within my esc's cell rating and this will help me decide what I want to buy and how big

you are correct. most controllers are set for 5s. You could buy 2 more 3s and run them in series withthe 2 you have and parallel them to the controller for longer run time and you would be running 5s power.
