    Kinda scared......will carbon work?

OK, I'm putting the finishing touches on my Mhz Nomad XL 43" cat. I just cab't help but be nervous about loosing the prop. It's a nice de-tougned x457 andboy is it nice!!!

Anyway, I've got a K55 prop I think I am gonna toss on....I've never really ran carbon props..........

Is it gonna run? How do you guys fare out with carbon props?

A K55 is really big. Start with a 42 and work up checking temps every 30 seconds. I dont want to see you burn up equipment.

This is a Aveox 1817/2y. Lots of low end. The motor is on a gear box. It's over drivin. 1.25 turns of the prop to one turn of the motor. Thanks for the concern SJFE. But I think a K42 would be much to small. I emailed the seller of the boat, and he said "run it with the x457 and leave the strut where it is and get ready to hold on!". I still think I am gonna try the CF55 first.....

        I'm using a UH.com HV-100amp ESC, and 8s lipo.

            14-32 cells. Rated 50A, 100A peak.

I said screw it and ran it with the x457. RAN GREAT! My Rx got wet and it cut my runs short, but I got to run it for about 2 minutes. No GPS but it was mid 40's from eye ballin it. Prop seemed to unload good. Acceleration is great. Motor was warm to the touch when braught in.

So, I guess a K55 will work if I want it to. lol.
