Regarding the one from hobbycity just looking at the back shows that it is not either water resistant nor waterproof

So even the price is very good, a very minimal amount of work (applying silicon from your hardware store) is the only thing required as safety precaution.

Hope other modelers will enjoy this little gem

We use the Seaking 35A esc's in our mini eco boat. It says waterproof right on the package. I hadn't looked, but kinda assumed the bigger ones were too!

I'm not sure that they would warranty it. I think they would balk at the use of the corrosion X also.

I just Corrosion-X'd the outside contacts-why should that be a problem?

You could certainly try to send it back to them. Cost to ship it may not be worth it though.
Jim, you talk a big game about supporting our own. I bought this from you. Is "SORRY" the best you can come up with ??

Mt. Slaughter, It's been one month and I haven'y heard any response from you. In another thread you state " We pay attention to our customers and love your feedback. Our goal is to provide the utmost customer satisfaction possible".

Please "pay attention" to this :

          #1 - I bought this from YOU.

#2 - It states that it is WATERPROOF

#3 - What's to balk about spraying Corrosion X on the exposed outside contacts?

#4 - There was no ETC that you speak of above other than normal use. The outside got wet, but read #2

#5 - Hobby King needs an order number from them to return an item (see #1)

#6 - You state : "You could certainly try to send it back to them - cost to ship it may not be worth it though" . As an example of " The utmost customer satisfaction possible " this statement from a preferred OSE vendor just stinks.

I'd like to hear your response. Or should I just return it to you with a jar of Vaseline ?

            Tony,

Chill! You're the first one that said you probably couldn't return it because it was submerged! When you mentioned corrosion X, I thought you meant you opened it up and sprayed the board. THAT certainly would voide the warranty. If they find any oily substance inside, they will certainly reject it. I thought the subject was closed.

The ESC did NOT come from Hobbyking. Not sure why you mention that.

Send the ESC and program box back to me and I'll refund your money. Simple? Then you can go buy one somewhere else. If you want to keep the program box, it is $20.

Steven I am sure anyone of us would be willing to pay a little extra if we could get them from you and not have to order them from hong kong.

I'd be interested in getting one from OSE rather than HK, even if I have to pay a few extra $ it would be worth it at very least for the shipping time. Steve is across the U.S. from me and my orders get here 2 days after I place them. The fastest I've ever gotten anything from HK was 4-5 days and it cost me $60 rather than $9. I'll pay for the convenience!
