    4s2p means:
two 4s packs in parallel, that way you'd get double amperage for longer run times and smoother power through the ESCs.
I don't know about any new releases coming down the pipes from CC, maybe someone else that's better informed then me could give us the "skinny" on the spring releases. It would be nice if the Water version of ICE came out.
I hear good things about the AS speedos, if they are easier to get and support where you live then it may be a better option since the CC 240 is American.
Also, from all the CC ESCs I've used, the Hydra 240 is the most reliable one, I've had my share of burned ESCs but the 240, it's all around decent.
The MGM ESCs are good as well, I have seen them take great abuse but like any other ESC I have seen them fail w/o a reason (not willing to start up)... just like that.

Sounds good. Its the one`s from modellbau-regler.de. I heard some rumors that they are coming with a new 200A esc very soon. My brother is probably buying them for his 1521, so maybe I just order together with him. Do you know how many amps your setup is pulling?

Thanks for the information. I still have some more time before the ice is gone here, so I will look a litle further. But the AS looks interesting. And if CC comes with something new that could be of interrest.

So if he went with twins would the 120s still be a bad idea?

Not in my opinion as a hpr 115 cm on twin 8xl's can run 66mph on hydra 120's

Hmm, ok. So maybe the Hydra 120 will be big enough for this setup? I dont want them to poof. I guess everything depends on the choice of props.

Brushless motors pull amps to make power, the more load you place on them the more amps they draw to build that wattage (volts*amps= watts, hence why high voltage low KV setups pull fewer amps and run more efficiently). How many amps you draw depends entirely on how much load you place on them, but I've seen 1515 1y motors pulling over 200 amps (very briefly) on acceleration in 1/8th scale trucks.

I agree with previous posts that the 120 is probably light unless you're careful with prop selection. Here is some information that you might want to review... The eagle tree graph is real life data - 6S, 5000MAH, 32" Deltaforce vee, 1515 1Y, Hydra 120 LV, Octura y536 36mm prop. The other two forms shown are theoretical information from FECalc. It went like a raped ape but amp draw was over limit so this is an example of a bad setup :)

So 2xAS 200A will probably be a good investment? I dont want any plown escs...
