    Storage options

I have a question for everyone and that is how do you store your boat? Is it different if you will go out again tomorrow or next week or even next month?

Right now I clean, remove water and leave radio boxes open to dry if wet. Before I leave the lake I remove the props and as soon as I get home I lube the shaft and reinstall. Biggest question is do you or would you reinstall the shaft or just leave it in a plastic bag until you go again?

I have seen a bunch of pics with no cable in the tube and that is why I am asking. Also did I miss anything?

    thanks

when i store my boat, i check to make sure everything it turned off (sucks when you leave your Tx on overnight and have to buy new batts) and pull the batts out in case i need to charge them...then i set it on the table and it stays there until i run it again....

When I get home from the lake, every time without fail, I dry my hulls out inside if needed, the RXs come out of the glove fingers, rec batts get pulled, the cables get pulled, dried, and layed inside the hull. The boats get cleaned and the hatches stay off, or at least partially open until I go out again.
My cables don't rust, my RX batts are healthy, and I don't have RX problems.

Sounds about what I do D.Smock, except the cables which I just finished doing now. I like the idea of the gloves for the rx I have been using ballons.

        thanks

I like the latex gloves for this. First I wrap the RX in a small section of paper towel, then glove it up and close the end with a small wire tie.
My boats all stay dry but a severe blow off or stuff can loosen hatch tape and allow water to enter the hull. I look at it as good cheap insurance.
