    Q Offshore Setup Question

I'm getting ready to put together a Q Offshore... An Aeromarine Sprint Cat on 6S. The others in the club are running the NEU 1527/1Y. Just to be stubborn and try to save some $$$, I would like to use the Feigao 580 10L. Will it be even remotely competitive with the NEU? Will the Seaking 180A ESC handle the 580? What shaft/strut/prop combo would you recommend?

    Jim,

It will be very competitive and you won't even need a 180. You can turn the same or larger prop than Hugh or Mike and not break 100 amps.

    All the best,

    Ray

Thanks Rumdog! That's good news! Do you feel the 8L has an advantage over the 10L?

          Looking forward to the Vid!

Not sure if there is an advantage really. I planned on using the seaking from the get go, and I wasn't sure about the reliability on 6s. It may handle it just fine, but i figured i'd go with the 8l on 5s2p to be safe. I am really happy with the way this boat runs! corners like mad!!
