    SV or UL1 Esc's on 2s?

I sent an email to Grim, but also wanted to see if any of you tried to run the stock SV27 or UL1 escs on 2s or 3s lipo?

Haven't been able to run either on 2s because it has a voltage rating starting at 8.4 for both I believe. When you plug the 2s in it won't arm the esc.

Mike had a thought to try to disconnect the red wire for the bec and run a rx pack to see if it arms. Just a thought. Mainly I was thinking of a single 3s pack.

if it has a low cutoff set for 4s wouldnt the lvc voltage be higer than a fully charged 2s pack,if that makes sense

The SV27 esc doesn't have a LVC. The UL-1 has one but I'm pretty sure it doesn't have anything to do with the operating voltage it's set at 8.4v for some reason.
I've been thinking about running two 4 nimh batts to get the 8.4v

My Sv esc arms with 2s. I never ran it on 2s but I do run it on 3s on a regular basis with no problems.

It was once said in another thread that the lvc was a auto detecting method that decides how many cells you are using. Not sure if thats true or not.

Just to clarify, do you mean a single 2s pack and 3s pack? I'm not looking to run the packs in series. Just a single 2s or 3s pack.

Yes a 7.4 & 11.1. I used to use it in my SV with 3s 5000 to go wave jumping and it was fine. I now have it in my mini hydro and I run that on 3s 2200. I use a Dimension Engineering cutoff. I have bench tested the mini with a 2s and it armed and ran. Never had it in the water with 2s though.

No problem Steven. BTW I use the internal BEC. It works pefect all the way up to 5s! I wouldn't recomend running5s to anyone but this "stock" esc are very tough units.

dont know who said otherwise.. but.. the SV ESC has NO voltage cutoff.
