Had just tweaked up my M545 & took some ballast out of the nose of the H&M shovel. Made a hooked turn fin & finally got to corner at full throttle.
Did some crowd-pleasing 60 + mph laps, then the dreaded blowover ! Immediately sunk stern down with @ 6" just poking out of the water. Rowed out like mad & got her just in time. No hatch !! Crap, no chance of finding a replacement H&M hatch for sure. Slowly rowed aimlessly & despondently around in circles looking, then : a little ripple about 10 feet away. The hatch [the flotation ripped off in the blowover] was there just below the surface with the bouency supplied by none other than my fearless driver Nigel Fuffingham [from Birmingham] !! A little FG & Bondo & she'll be as good as new.
Go Nigel !!!
