    Question on Eagle Tree GPS

Well theres no way to hit the lakes in this frozen tundra i live in so im doing some updates to my SAW boat . Hopefully she will run 110mph come spring. My question is ........will an Eagle Tree GPS, "new version", work if it is in a sealed box inside the hull? Things tend to get wet during slight 100+ mishaps so everything is sealed in this boat. Anyone have any experience with these before i add it on? Thanks, Gary

Is your hull fiberglass or carbon? Might be issues with a carbon hull and hatch. Otherwise you should be good to go.

It will definately work. I have used this set up for many years as long as the box is fiberglass or plexiglass or PVS/ABS. Carbon fiber is a major problem so for my carbon fiber boats I use a fiberglass hatch and have great reception. You can keep the entire unit inside and be confident the GPS will record accurately.

The Eagle Tree v4 GPS is just being released, so data on the new tiny gps will be a while before it comes out.
