Just went to that site. Looks like Vantex is a name they made up. I recognize a lot of their boats and know who the manufacturer(s) are in most cases. Pretty low quality stuff with high prices. Do you know how difficult it is to warranty some of that stuff!? I try not to sell anything that I'm not 100% happy with. Bad quality will eat you alive and it generally costs so much to send stuff back to China that you just eat it.

Genny.. Genesis cat hull

I dont know what boats are good or bad on there. Some look pretty cheesy, but I have that 32" Nichols cat and I will say, hull quality Id have a hard time trying to pick a hull of mine I like better, ie strength to weight, finish, style and handling ... and I dont know about handling yet, but my HPR is the only one layd up and built better. The drive hardw as Ive said on here many times were a little less than desirable. But the electronics when put into my BJ26 on 3S is as fast as it was stock on 4S with the BJ motr/ esc setup. The power system that comes in it just isnt enough. Although for a sport runner newb in a small lake it would be more than exciting....

I've seen a lot of boats over the years at the factories in China. Some are good. Some are great. Some are crap. Problem with these folks is they've taken a lot from the Crap category and put the Great category price on them.

Jim,

I think that you do more for the sport boaters than they could ever know. By your efforts in testing and evaluating products throughout the world, you're serving as a very valuable filter to everything hitting the market. For that, I for one, am very appreciative!

Meanwhile, you are still providing a service of putting together the best components with the best bang for the buck and the end user only has to plug in a battery and go!
