what is the behaviour difference of the aircraft esc

what difference does the pistix device make ?

Andy can answer this definatively but a Pistix allows you to use a A/C speedo, I.E. stick transmiter controlled, when you only have a pistol grip Tx.

Most aircraft ESC's are not designed to use a "pistol grip" radio. The device allows the use of a "pistol grip" radio on an airplane ESC.
It primarily adjusts the throttle signal. 2 stick radios throttle are 50%-50%. where most pistol radio throttles are 70%-30%. therefore the neutral position is not the same.

no basically on a pistol style radio the deutral setting for the throttle is different that the stick type radio that the esc was designed for, so the pistix allows you to use the aircraft esc with a pistol style radio. last night i found that you can use the stock traxxas tq radio that comes with traxxas cars and trucks has a 50/50 setting so i can use it without a pistix, since i accidentally broke my pistix the other day and i do not feel like spending another 25 buck on one i decided to just modify an extra radio that i had lying around and to my surprise i didnt have to do anything to the stock traxxas to make it work. but i painted it white anyway :)
