    Jolly Cat hits 55 mph!!!

Here is the video of my Jolly Cat running. In this video I was a running a m645 with an 8XL and 4s LiPo. The fastest speed recorded on the GPS was 54.5 mph before it hit something in the water and some of the balsa wood for the batteries up.

I will have to take a photo of the GPS next time then too. Provided that the water conditions are good.

The speed calculator said 24674.56 for the rpms with the 8XL and 4s. I plan on upgrading this eventually to 6s over the winter. The hull really could use extra weight when using LiPos and a Brushless motor.

I took apart old NiCd packs to use for extra weight since the Lipos are lighter.

Once you feel the power of the Dark Side, you wont go back to Nimh! I ran 4s 5000 lipo in my 700bb drifter s yesterday, its at least 5mph faster than 14 nimh. And thats conservative.

What keeps me away from the "Dark Side" in the fundage situation. 39 more days...a well deserved trip to Aruba..and I will be joining the Dark Side. I hear the Vader music playing faintly off in the distance now:p The question for me is just what number to put before the S...lol

Hammer I used to feel the same way. These days it's all about using your head and being educated. Go to school...set aside a safe area to charge and store...and you will be fine.

and when you charge, store or carry the batteries use a LIPO SACK. If anything does go wrong this bag will contain all the damage and then they will replace it for free on top of it.
