    Coupler trouble

Does any one know were i can get a coupler that connects a 5mm brushless motor to a 1/4" square flex shaft cable. I have looked every where for one with no success. Thanks, Ben

I can make you one. I just made someone else one. It is set screw style with 6 on the cable and 2 on the motor.

It looks like this one but 5mm.

Ben, don't mean to jack your thread but Jeff, can you make a coupler that is 5mm to .130 as well as a shim for the stock bj shaft to do 3/16 props with a hole for the drive dog set screw. PM me and sorry Ben for riding your thread but had to do it. Brian

Yes I can. I guess you are talking about a 4mm ID tube with a set screw hole and for the drivedog.

Or, you can also just use brass tube to step the prop shaft up to 3/16"

They make a flex hex coupler for this if you want one of those.

I'm confused, why would the square drive flex cable be attached to the coupler? Isn't the object to have a floating square drive system with the square end of the flex cable floating in the coupler and the other end sodered to a ferrel??? If anyone is building a square drive coupler (attaches to a 5MM motor shaft and allows a square drive shaft to float in the coupler) I would be interested in purchasing such a product also.
