Neu has stepped up and taken over repairs of Medusa motors and will be reproducing their motors. For those of you who have never used a Medusa, they're a great mid-range motor. Significantly more powerful than a Feigao but half the cost of a Neu (and not really a whole lot less power than an equivalent Neu). They seem to perform better under excessive load (making them good for speed runs), I've seen E-Revos pushing 50+ MPH out of a 60mm 2200 KV motor on 4s lipo and my Losi Muggy was accidentally geared for 90 MPH on 6s lipo (80mm, 2000 KV) and the motor handled it impressively well and took 12 minutes to hit 160 degrees. Steve's Feigao XL motor jackets fit perfectly, but for the 70 and 80mm motors it would be nice to have longer ones. Next boating season will be a good one if the reproduction motors hit the shelves in time, these things will hands-down knock the socks off a Feigao.

If they can put motors out at similar prices and hopefully make a few little improvements (screwed in endbells and better bearings) they'll have real winners on their hands.Comment

That is great news. Hope Steve Neu can maintain the price point!Mini Cat Racing USA

Anyone noticed that Neu is now SELLING a few of the "Medusa manufacturer motors" as their MR Series? It says more sizes and winds are coming in the near future!
I've got a couple in my 1/8 scale buggies and they perform well.

Hi,
I see that Neu Motors has picked up the old Medusa Research line of motors. Can we expect to see the full line up of motors offered? Or will you guys only be producing a select few?
This is big news for the R/C Car market. The Medusa's were great performers and a cheaper alternative. It's nice that you guys are picking up the slack. There was huge disappointment when MR announced they were discontinuing that line.
Thanks,
