    Has technology stopped !!

Just sitting here pissed after a hour long phone call with young Paddy, I have to ask where is technology going !! We have made the jump from brushed and Nickel and we are all doing the brushless, lipo dance ! Yes Esc and prop development are getting us faster but the wall to hit is not far away !! Whats next ? Better packs ? better motors ? A totally different shape of prop ? Or is it hull design ? What do you think will make 70mph the norm instead of the exception for 4s circuit boats ???????

We'll all slowly move ti LiFe, probably... thinking of another thread here, the faster we go, the more difficult control will be... so maybe the circuit will be longer to allow for reaction time (human)... any robot boats out there?

Well, lower rated, but so were Lipos... they advanced a bit, check this:

BTW, the ESCs have some nice prices...

I think in the long run we will see many more gains as more money is put into getting electric cars to market. In the short run over the next year or so we will keep seeing the trend towards higher mah and higher "c" ratings.
