I like it, though I would buy just the hull and hatch!

It has that nasty system where you have to remove the strut to grease the flexshaft

Have you seen Thunder Tiger's new brushless outboard? That's an OUTRUNNER motor on it!

Not sure where you saw that price. This German site has it for 389 euros. By the time you knock of the 19% mehrwertsteure and convert to dollars, it is $463. And that is retail!

Still too much for a 25 to 30 mph boat. The 42 inch hull seems inviting and a hull and hatch alone would be perfect for say 150.

I have made an inquiry of Thunder Tiger about the outboard motor. Will let you know what they reply. I have a feeling this was a prototype over a year ago that they never developed.

That motor is the same as in the above mentioned boat, I understand the F1 hull in the pics is about the same size and performance is not much better. Now that motor on a Vs1 will open the eyes !! Prop you know you can fit 6s in your Vs1, please take on e for the team and try it out !!

Hey, for a big boat running on 4S, it seems to move fairly well!

Ful retail is $680. I just received info from Thunder Tiger, if all goes right I should have them at $499 with a 4s lipo pack and charger.

Actually a 4S just fits in my VS-1 , although the box could be modded for 6S. I'm leaving it as is for now, since WW VI is coming up, although I'd really like to see how the Scorp 1900 KV runs on 6S. Maybe after the race .. Hmmmm...

I seem to remember that Steven likes to make outboard powered boats. I too would like to get my hands on one of these outboards for an outboard conversion.
                              Steven, you listening ?

That's a great deal. Consider that an SV-27 + batt's + charger is close in price.
Very attractive to invite more peeps into the fold [ Time and time again, while at the lake, I'm asked by curious, interested bystanders " How much is one of those?" Having to explain that you need a boat, set of batt's, charger etc. tends to put one off. A nice sized packaged deal like the Thunder Tiger would really be a great thing to recommend, and less confusing for sure.] Good job, Steven !
Now, about getting the OB ?......
