    Hey Smock, and the rest of you warm weather whimps

    Out running today with a fellow member here;

    He had his white SV-27 and I tried my new DF-29"KO for the first time.

    You know its getting a tad "refreshing" outside when the boats come back with Ice on them

    Next time you guys start complaining and wondering if you precious LiPos can take the terribly cold 50 deg temps (or whatever temps you guys were whining about), think of these pics,,, shut up and go run your boats.

        Lmao

        Well I guess he told us!!

        Shoot guys, I guess now we know where the "IRON MEN" of model boating hang out.
        I think I'd try a hotter setup Doby, must be a PITA to tape up for that second run.

        Good looking mono sir, what were your temps.

        Smock

        PS I was wondering when you were going to lob one over the fence. ha ha ha

          Smock;

          It was long overdue

          Temps?????....not nearly warm enough. I did one check on the motor and it was 45 deg. Thanks God the LiPos were slightly warm when the boats got back so we could stuff them in our pockets and warm up our hands.

          And yes, getting the tape to stick at those temps is a bit of a challange.

            Who needs tape? Get a little spray bottle of water and it will seal everything up.

            You can also use the spray bottle at work. On the midnight shift (3rd shift, graveyard shift) at work when it's cold, we break out the bottle every hour and mist a unsuspecting souls windshield and door locks. Makes for a tired pissed off coworker in the morning...

            You guys have been hugging way too much this past week.

                Yes sir it was. LOL

                That was the only thing good about running the round cells, they would come in at well over a hundred degrees! We would put a six cell pack in each pocket after a run.

                You guys are DIE HARD, I love it!!!

                Mike has a point, maybe we should CHILL on the hugging thing for a week or so.
