Make that two portly bearded fellows with transmitters in their shaking hands...... one will be more portly than the the other and his hands may shake more severely, but he knows how to count... LOLComment

Dave - do you plan on using the electronic system Lenny / District 19 has? We used it at Vegas and it is very cool. Very nearly "Tony Proof"!!Don't get me startedComment
-
I t/t Lenny about it a few weeks ago. It sounds slick, but it may be WAAYYY too labor intensive for our race. We'll see!
I did sent Tony an email link of a counting exercise he can practice for the next 85 days. He really should have 1-2-3-4-5-6 down by Feb 26, 2010.Comment

No Problem !! I got it DOWN !! I can count six laps with the fingers on one hand....

Pit man simply presses a button each time the driver passes the S/F line. The system automatically counts laps, and announces lap count. Very slick.Don't get me startedComment

I'll talk to Lenny again about it. In my post above, I was thinking of the system that was used at the Gas Nats in Washington. Each driver had a pitman AND a driver judge. The driver judge pulled the trigger for each lap. It sounds like having the pit guys doing it would work.Comment
