    Need Help in a setup.

    Hello guys, I'm new in fast electric boats, I bought a Catamaran Agitator from H&M and now I'm buying some parts from OffshoreElectrics, like motor, hardware, Bateries, Radio control, and other stuff.

    My boat have 810mm ( 32" ) long and I want to know what do you advise, one or two motors? I want a very fast boat but since I'm new to electrics I don't know very much. I'm thinking using Feigao XL motor but don't know witch one, if you can help me setuping this boat.

    - 1 or 2 brushless motors;
    - Kind of brusheless motor;
    - Brushless Speed Control;
    - Lipo Baterie(s);
    -Charger;

    For now is what I need, to iniciate to build my boat.

    Thanks.

    I've no experience with that cat,but i can give you some advise,just use a single motor setup if you are a beginner FE boater.
    Less to go wrong,cheaper,meaning you can invest in better quality electrics etc.
    These are great chargers;up to 6S lipo;

    Turnigy lipos are good too from Hobbyking;

    have a read through the many threads on these 32" boats,plenty of good advise and ideas

      I found this setup on the internet for my hull, what do you think?

      Motor: Feigao 540 XL / 9 Watercooled
      Accu: 1 x LiPo 5S1P TP Hacker EVO 3700
      ESC: YGE 120 NAVY
      Prop: H & M 42 mm
      Top Speed: A bit more than 90 km/h

      I want a little more top speed, but if its too difficult I stay with this one.

      Waiting for your opinions.

      Thanks.

          Seens as noone else is bothered to answer,i'll have a go.
          If it was my hull i would go for either a Fiegoa 580 7L or a Neu 1521.1.5D and run it on a parallel 4000 30C 5S Turnigy pack.ie 8000mah total.
          Using a YGE 155navy esc or a TMM 16025-3 Race Boat Z-SERIES esc.
          Prefrerably the Neu motor. and the TMM esc.

          Not a cheap setup but a fast reliable one,if thats what you want.
          Asuming the Agitator hull is 33"
          Quality gear is always the best way.

            the 9 XL on 5S is pushing it. If you want to go with 5S then I would back off to a 10XL. And your capacity is too loo for a single pack, if you went 2P then you would be ok. Try to use 4500 or more total mah. Notice Brod suggested 8000 - you will be glad; long run times and less hard on the packs.

            Why not twins? You could go with a pair of 14 L on 5S and be able to get some good speeds. Check out how I set up my 38" Twin Intruder and see if it is fast enough for you. I use low KV motors with high voltage - lower amperage and easier on the equipment.

            nice run on 5S.
