    70 mph DF 33

This started out as a project that I hoped would take me to 60 mph with a mono hull. It soon went passed that speed and I was stuck at 68.9 mph for a few weeks until I spoke with Andym. He suggested a prop that might get me to 70 mph. I got 3 of these props and got Andy to prepare each one differently. Well today I finally got the boat to 70.21 mph or 113 kph.
Setup is as follows.... DF 33 clone, Neu 1515 1.5y, CC Hydra 240 esc, Zippy Flightmax 5s 1p, Andym special M645 prop.

Andy thanks so much for your brilliant props.

Some runs done earlier today where the boat reached 109 kph on another prop.

Very impressive runs there Xzessperated. And you did it on a 1515 1.5Y which is a 1500KV motor to boot on 5S. So the magic has got to be the prop! Care to share your magic prop with us? I have a DF Storm 32 with a Neu 1515 1.5Y running on 5s2. Now I want to reach 70 as well with my setup!

As Ub Hauled would say " I will have my people talk to your people about that".
Nah, there are no secrets. Andy done three M645 props for me. The first one was just an s&b job. The 70 mph prop has s&b + cup. I have not tested the third one yet but that has s&b + cup + back cut. They all include a touch of Andy's sweat, patience and brilliance with a prop.

Well, either way, that is still very impressive. Let us know how your third props works out for you.

Very fast. I have a DF36" with a 1515 1.5y, on 5s it is not that fast. May I ask what is the weight of the boat with or without the battery? What timing on the hydra?
          Nice job!

Paddy, only 70 mph, man that is slow for that hull and setup. Did a duck get in the way?

                        Congratulations ........................... Andy

Thanks Steven and thanks to all you guys for your comments. This would not have been possible without the things I have learned on the OSE forum and from the help of guys like Andym. Other people contributed without knowing. I have read almost every thread and post about the DF 33 on this forum and studied your videos and pictures.
This was an inexpensive project as the hull is a clone and most of the hardware came from my old H&M NS 3. The motor is the first Neu motor I ever purchased so it is about 2 1/2 years old and never been serviced. The Hydra 240 is one I purchased on the Swap Shop and the battery is a Zippy Flightmax that cost $79. The hull has not been blueprinted. I was going to blueprint it after testing it for the first time. Right from the first run I knew I was on to something good so the blueprinting never got done.

westbeach... I will update this thread when I test that last prop.

DISAR... I will weigh the boat next time I use it and let you know the weight. Not sure on the timing as this esc has not been on my Castle Link yet

ozzie... Usually I run the gps inside the hull but sometimes on an overcast day I lose the satellites and I get no reading. To save a lot of bad language in the car park when I open the hatch and find no reading on the gps I tape it to the deck on overcast days. I have 3 gps's at the bottom of the lake now.

                            Neal,
                            What prop are you running?
                            What speed are you getting?
Have you an oval setup or a SAW setup?
Do you have a pic of the transom hardware you could share with us?
Can you give me more info on your batteries? I think you run 5s2p but what C rating and how old are they?
How have you got your trim tabs setup? Mine are above the bottom of the hull and only touch the water if the nose lifts a little.
