What hull and power plant for 6S??

I had posted the following thread over at RRR and have had some positive answers directing me towards the Aeromarine Sprintcat 40.
I am ready to pull the trigger and order one but felt it prudent to throw the net out once more before I lay down the hard earned cash.

Id like to be able to run in the high 50 mph area, Neu 1527 1Y and Etti 150 or CC240 is what I was looking at.

Hi All

I'm planning a bit return to the hobby after being away for a short while. Purely sport running only so no need for any class rules

Bit of background. I still own some BBY Boats, Ovalmaster 29, Scatcat 26 and a UL1 but am now looking for something larger that I can use my 6S 5000mah 30C Lipos in.

I'm not terribly fussed whether to go cat or mono and the majority of use will be on an inland lake, not to much chop but it would be good to be able to handle a bit.

So. rather than re-invent the wheel would you good folks be able to provide some guidance to this newbie? I'm guessing 33" - 40"

If you could let me know some good working combinations it would be much appreciated.
Hull - Brand/Model?
Motor - Neu, Medusa etc. What models?
ESC - Prob castle or Etti
Prop - ?
Shaft Size - ?

Obviously I would prefer to keep value for money in mind but if that means buying the Neu I am ok with that.

Seriously any help you can provide would be wonderful. I've burnt up plenty of stuff previously learning from scratch and would rather not do that again and this end of the market.

I run a SprintCat 40-80 on 6S...

Neu 1527/1Y
Schulze 32-170
6S2P 4500 mAh
3/16" cable drive
x450 to x455 props
Speeds 50-60 mph

Great setup, you probably don't need the Schulze, a Castle 180HV would do fine. I don't know about any other cheap ESC. A Feigao 580 might work, but the Neu is awesome.

Thanks for the help here and on RRR.
Placed the order last week so now for the tense wait.

However wasnt sure which strut and rudder to use.
Can any owners advise which speedmaster hardware should be used from this site?

Hope this is not inappropriate.

I had heard people mention that the extended strut is a good thing. Ill be running 3/16". I assume the strut would be the hydro choice but the rudder has me stumped for choice. I want to get this boat right first go if possible and you guys are a wealth of knowledge.

You don't need the trim tabs, that's a SAW-only setup.
