Raydee I am using a seperate external power supply for the RX. I am aware that the CC speedie wont support onboard BEC running a 4s set up.

I have adjusted the strut down so it is now level with the bottom of the sponsons. Now that this adjustment has been made im hopefull that it stops the nose from wanting to lift up and blow over. I have also moved the lipos further forward a little to get a little more weight up front.

....Disar, that Graupner prop you suggested is similar to the 442. I have ordered a X440 also which is almost identical to the 2317.40.
I think there is no better person than Fluid to advise you on a cat setup, take his suggestions to the bank.

True, but only good if he's run the cat you are setting up.
I like to take the advice of ppl who run and race the same boat.

I run a m445 prop on both 4s and 5s through my castle hydra 120 on a larger H&M Drifter L hull with a nemesis 9xl..... great setup.... runs mid 40's and handles well with the m445 too!!! I definatly think it was a defective esc....your setup on the x445 isn't too much at all on 4s, no question.

I'll jump in here as I am now narrowing my fleet to cats and riggers.
For Riggers I ask guys like Jan and Paddy.

For Cats I ask Matt (crabstick) Jesse (JesseJ) Scott (ozziecrawl) and Jay (Fluid)
I have done a LOT of reading on cats over the years and have asked a LOT of questions. I still do not know a LOT and therefore ask some of the more experienced boaters.
There are few (if any) that have more experience and knowledge than Jay Turner and that is why when I am really stuck I will contact him.

That is how I do it !!
                      See it....find the photos.....sketch it it....build it........with wood
