    if its really bad they grind it down to the glass and get a gelcoat repair kit but thats on real boats im not sure anout rc`s

      I need to find a good way also.. I had a cap explode and cracked the gelcoat on the deck and side of the hull
      The RTR Nightmare- Electric King of Shaves
      Now with 540s- 62mph
      New setup- Etti 150A's, Turnigy 2600s, 5S, X442s and a whole lot of cooling hoses

        I have laid epoxy down on cracked gel coat... It doesn't look great but it certainly has strength.

          Mix your epoxy with micro balloons or talc powder until thick and spread it on after cleaning the crack with a dremmel. This makes it easy to sand yet still has strength.

            I use Marinetex. Available in small kits at boating supply stores.

                I would still use a dremmel and make a wider (wheel size wide) grind down through it to almost the glass and then fill with what I said...pretty easy to do.

                Fill it and sand it and paint it.

                Your grind would be wide not like slicing the crack open.
