    1515 1y on 6s

    has anyone ran a 1515 1y on 6s2p i want to try it in my cat but must draw less than 150 amps what prop will work?

    Thats asking for trouble. The 1y is a 4s motor. KV (2200) is way to high for 6s. Too many people already touched on this subject with negative results. Just about everyone blew esc's or burnt motors.

      That is 48,000 rpm's+. You might get by with 5S and M440.

        I can melt my cells with the 1Y on 4s and the right prop, I say don't do it!

            I dont recommend this but,,, here is a video of my Mean Machine Cat running a 1515/1y on 6s1p (2x 3s 5000/30c packs) with a x438 prop... Only ran it 3-4 times that way,, each run for about 1 min... Then switched it back to 4s2p..

                  you should get the motor fr 1200kv to 1500kv for single 6s power, you might get away with 1900kv on twin 6s power boat but not single setup.

                    i am running a 1515 1,5y now but am stuck on 109 kph it wont go more need more speed unless some one is selling a fast boat?
