Bullet Connectors

E-Flight has a new series of bullet connectors that snap into a two pin, male/female holder. The high cap ones are EC5's. Does anyone have experience with these?
Hobby City also has some sort of dual connector on their Zippy 5000 mAh LiPo batteries. Anyone know anything about these?

Those are 5mm bullets with a plastic case, they should handle a fair amount of current.

Are you talking about the balance charge connector on the batteries?

No, the Zippy 5000 mAh batteries come with a two-pin bullet connector for the battery output with a red plastic case but they don't provide the manufacturer...

good question as I have 2 new lippos with this same connector but as of yet have not replaced it with the Deans. I was thinking of making up another wye with those ends but what are they called? They do feel snug when connected

I think I will stay with the CC 5.5's - the contacts have much more surface area.

It makes sense for the bullets for the ESC to motor but not the batteries to ESC due to constant unplugging as the bullets spread, The female part gets looser and don't go there

But then you are stuck with the same thing Deans are ...polarized....right? Then you need another adapter for different configs on the cells

Bullets are the best set up for running para or series packs.

I concur. Deans are a waste of time. Bullets are the best on anything over 50 amps IMO

Last 2 race meetings I have had to re-solder the wires back onto deans for a guy who just converted his SV27 to lipo.. was fine on NIMH, but with the new found available MAH his SV is really flying and towards the end of the race it would melt the solder on the deans, the lipos have 8ga wire and the deans just cant supply enough current so they get hot due to resistance and melt the solder..

When I hear the word Deans I think "resistor"
