Flex shaft self oiler for FE???

    Hi guys

I also run gas boats and some boats do use flex shaft self oilers. This does reduce maintenance time and is a great feature. Another advantage is that it does cool down the flex shaft temperature.

I know of 2 methods of self cooling used in Gas boating.

Does anybody do it in FE boats? Are there anymanufacturer out there that sell those kits for FE?

Attached picture is the oil can. It is screwed to the stuffing tube through a coupler near the motor shaft and the oil goes through a small hole drilled on the stuffing tube.

    Cheers

Looks good, but I think the biggest issue would be space constraints on the smaller boats. Im sure Greenpeace would disapprove also..

How big is that can? No reason why it couldn't be used in the larger FE's.

I think it is a great idea. I haven't found any that will fit though.

I have seen pics of different types used in H&M boats, but never found an outlet to purchase one.

Let us know if you find one.

This can is 3 cm high and may be about 2 cm wide. Each square on the green mat is exactly 1 cm.

That would look cool on the larger FE.

Just checked the H&M website and they have it in their "finished model boats"

However they don't seem to sell the kit......
