    Proper Prop

I have a MRC Academy Triton Cat.
I put 2 550 motors and the EVX speed control in it. It used the original gearbox. 2 motors driving 2:1 gear ration I believe. I figured with the extra torque from the motors and not being able to change the gearing, the next step would be a prop upgrade.

    Any help would be appreciated.
    Thanks

I would suggest starting with the 40mm carbon prop and run it with that the first run. If your temps are low you can increase the prop size. Repeat this till your temps are around 110-130 F if you are just doing sport running. This way there will not be excessive wear. Another way is to use a watts up meter or the eagle tree to measure the amps your are pulling. Your batteries, motor and ESC will determine how many amps you safely draw. If you want more speed then your runtimes will decrease and vise versa. More speed and a larger prop also translates into more heat and a higher amp draw.
